Site Manager - New Build & Refurbishment Homes Location: Saffron Walden, Essex Salary: £65,000 per annum + Package Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role We are seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager to join a growing construction team delivering a mix of new build residential developments and refurbishment project in Saffron Walden. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Site Manager with a proven track record of managing residential construction projects from inception through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day site operations on new build housing and refurbishment projects. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour. Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality requirements. Maintain high standards of health and safety compliance on site. Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks. Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities, and internal stakeholders. Manage site documentation, reports, and progress updates. Resolve site issues quickly and effectively to minimise delays. Lead and motivate site teams to achieve project objectives. Requirements Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential construction. Strong background delivering new build housing developments and refurbishment projects. SMSTS certified. CSCS Black or White Card. First Aid at Work qualification. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent knowledge of construction methods, building regulations, and health & safety legislation. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain programme targets. Full UK Driving Licence.
