Salary: Up to £55,000 (dependent on experience)

Day Rate: Up to £250 per day

Working Arrangement: Site based

Employment Type: Permanent or Contract

A Site Manager is required for a leading drylining contractor to oversee a £2 million drylining package on a major project based in Yeovil. The project forms part of a strong pipeline of work across the South West, offering excellent longer-term opportunities within the business. With a turnover of approximately £65 million and around 150 members of staff, the company operates from multiple offices across the UK.

This role would suit an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in drylining, capable of managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Site Manager Job Overview

  • Manage day-to-day site operations on a £2 million drylining package.
  • Coordinate labour, materials, plant, and subcontractors to ensure programme targets are achieved.
  • Monitor quality, health & safety, and compliance across all drylining works.
  • Maintain site documentation including progress reports, RFIs, variations, and site diaries.
  • Liaise closely with the Principal Contractor, consultants, and wider project team.
  • Produce short-term programmes and monitor progress against project milestones.
  • Support and mentor site teams while maintaining strong working relationships on site.

Site Manager Job Requirements

  • NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or equivalent.
  • SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, and First Aid certification.
  • Strong drylining experience with excellent technical understanding of systems and specifications.
  • Previous experience managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Good understanding of health & safety procedures and site reporting systems.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills. xwzovoh
