Description

We are hiring for our client, a well-established and successful organisation based in Cookstown, as they seek to appoint an experienced Site Services Engineer.

The successful Site Services Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and optimising a broad range of essential site utility systems. These will include steam generation and distribution, water and effluent treatment, compressed air, refrigeration plant, heat pumps and low-voltage electrical systems.

The Role

  • Maintain and optimise the performance of site services and utility systems
  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Support steam generation and distribution systems
  • Maintain water and effluent treatment equipment
  • Monitor compressed air, refrigeration and heat pump systems
  • Diagnose faults across mechanical and low-voltage electrical equipment
  • Complete inspections and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency
  • Support compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental standards
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections and repairs
  • Work closely with engineering, production and external service providers

The Person

  • Time served electrical or mechanical apprenticeship
  • Previous experience within a site services, utilities, facilities or maintenance engineering position
  • Experience working with industrial utility systems such as steam, refrigeration, compressed air or water treatment
  • A practical and methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Strong awareness of health, safety and environmental requirements
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider engineering team
  • Comfortable working a rotating early and late shift pattern
