Site Technician - Electrical Protection & Control Systems Position Status: Permanent Location: Base in Stone, Staffordshire (with regular UK-wide travel to client sites) Department: Energy Reports To: Site Coordinator About the Role We are seeking a skilled Site Technician with an electrical wiring background to join our Energy Team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the on-site assembly, wiring, and modification of protection and control systems for transmission, distribution, and power generation projects across the UK. Working closely with Site Managers and Commissioning Engineers, you will carry out electrical testing for safety prior to system commissioning, construct test rigs, and ensure high-quality installation standards on site. Note: This position involves regular travel around the UK to customer sites. Flexibility and a willingness to work away from home are essential. Key Responsibilities Site Wiring & Mechanical Assembly Assembly & Wiring: Wire, modify, and assemble electrical protection and control systems using schematic drawings, parts lists, and specifications. Cabling & Terminations: Install and terminate paired, multicore, copper, and fiber optic (FO) communications cables, including glanding.
