Painter & Decorator (Heritage & Modern Buildings) The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role. Contract: Permanent Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–4:00pm) Our client is seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join their established Works team, maintaining and enhancing a unique estate that combines historic architecture with modern facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their work, takes pride in exceptional craftsmanship, and wants to develop their skills working across both heritage and contemporary buildings. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating work across a diverse range of projects, including restoration of historic buildings and refurbishment of modern spaces. Internal and external decorating to an exceptional standard. * Supporting refurbishment projects using modern decorating methods and coatings. * Completing minor glazing repairs (training available). * Working safely and maintaining high standards of housekeeping. * Collaborating with colleagues, contractors and other trades to deliver projects on time. Proven experience in painting and decorating across a range of property types. * Experience using a variety of decorating products and techniques. * A meticulous eye for detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship. * NVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent) or substantial industry experience. Heritage or listed building restoration. Traditional decorating methods such as limewash or distemper. PASMA, IPAF, Working at Height or First Aid qualifications. A full UK driving licence.
