Role Overview

While the fellowship is ideally suited for a post-CCT surgeon seeking final-stage refinement prior to applying for consultant interviews, high-quality pre-CCT applicants will also be considered.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will gain comprehensive, hands-on exposure to the full spectrum of modern elective knee surgery. The majority of the fellow's clinical and operative time will be working directly with Mr. John Dabis, Consultant Knee Surgeon, providing immersive training in his specific areas of expertise.

To ensure a well-rounded and versatile training profile, there are additional dedicated opportunities to work with Mr. Ran Wei and Mr. Usman Bhatty, both within the primary unit and through external clinical networks.

Surgical Portfolio Exposure Includes:

Complex Meniscal Preservation: Advanced repair techniques, root repairs, and meniscal transplantation.

High-Volume Unicompartmental Knee Replacement: Extensive exposure to partial knee arthroplasty techniques and patient selection.

Joint Preservation & Realignment: Complex deformity correction utilizing both single and double-level osteotomies (High Tibial and Distal Femoral Osteotomies).

Ligament Reconstruction: Primary and revision ACL, PCL, and complex multi-ligament reconstructions.

Patellofemoral Stability: Soft tissue and bony stabilization procedures.

Total Joint Arthroplasty: mainly complex primaries and revision (excluding infection)
