We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.You'll beresponsible for identifying and validating the presence of lead service pipes and associated high-risk assets within the public and private realm. The role requires strong utilities knowledge, accurate interpretation of statutory utility records (STATS), and field-based inspection to support compliance, asset management, and risk mitigation programmes.You'll carry out on-site inspections to determine the material of underground and above-ground water services, with a focus on identifying lead pipes and interpret and accurately read STATS plans, historic utility records, as-built drawings, and GIS data.We'll need you to identify, prioritise, and record high-risk assets based on asset condition, material, location, and customer risk profiles along with usingapproved validation methods (e.g. visual inspection, scratch tests where permitted, record-based validation, internal inspections)What youll bring Do you have proven experience in water utilities, asset validation, surveying within field?
