Youll be joining Aran, part of M Group Energy an industry-leading provider of retrofit and energy efficiency solutions. With a strong reputation for quality and delivery, Aran is focused on improving the comfort, cost of living and sustainability of UK homes, while raising standards across installation projects.
What will you be doing?


As an Electrician, you'll play a key role in helping customers reduce their energy costs and carbon footprint through the installation of renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions. You'll work across domestic properties, delivering high-quality installations of Solar PV systems, mechanical ventilation systems and electric storage heaters.


This is a varied role that combines technical expertise, customer interaction and project ownership. You'll have the opportunity to survey, design and install your own projects, seeing them through from initial assessment to final commissioning while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and customer expectations. This is aField-based across Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire.Driving is an essential part of this role, and you'll regularly travel to customer properties throughout the region. Occasional overnight stays may be required for training, meetings or business needs.


Your responsibilities will include:
  • Installing, testing and commissioning Solar PV systems in line with industry standards

Designing Solar PV and heating systems to meet customer requirements

Installing and commissioning mechanical ventilation systems and electric storage heaters

Carrying out electrical modifications, including sockets, switches and lighting circuits

Ensuring all installations comply with MCS requirements, Building Regulations and BS7671 Wiring Regulations

Completing installation documentation and MCS registrations accurately

Conducting electrical testing, fault-finding and commissioning activities

Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults safely and efficiently

Inspecting and testing electrical systems, components and equipment

Working closely with office teams and installation colleagues to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard

Maintaining accurate records of installations, repairs and maintenance activities

Keeping up to date with industry standards, regulations and best practice

Delivering an excellent customer experience throughout every project


What you'll bring


We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering quality work, enjoys solving problems and is passionate about helping customers transition to more sustainable energy solutions.You'll bring:

  • Experience working as a qualified Electrician within domestic properties

Knowledge of Solar PV installations and MCS regulations

Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and site health and safety requirements

Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach

The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively

A professional, proactive and process-driven mindset

A genuine passion for renewable energy and sustainable technologies

The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team


Essential

  • NICEIC-qualified Electrician

BS 7671:2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition)

Experience installing within occupied domestic properties

Knowledge of Solar PV installations and MCS regulations

Full UK driving licence

Comfortable travelling across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire

Flexible to occasionally work outside normal hours and stay away from home when required for training, meetings or business needs


Desirable

  • Experience working with Mechanical Extract Ventilation (MEV)

Experience installing Electric Storage Heaters (ESH)

Experience working with Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)

Experience in testing, fault-finding and commissioning electrical systems

BPEC Solar PV qualification
