This is an exciting opportunity for a Grade C solicitor/fee earner to join the Clinical Negligence team of a progressive, forward‑thinking, client‑focused, award‑winning legal practice.

Based in Wirral, North West England, this firm has a local and national client base and offers services in many practice areas, including:

We are recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic fee‑earner to join our growing clinical negligence team on a full‑time basis. The successful candidate will work directly with a senior solicitor and Law Society panel member, supporting her with her case load, which includes high‑value and complex claims for adults and children. The role also provides the opportunity to build up an independent clinical negligence case load. We offer a supportive working environment and opportunities for career development.

Key tasks

• Working with and supporting a senior solicitor on complex clinical negligence claims, from inception to conclusion
• Handling pre and post issue clinical negligence claims from inception to conclusion

Essential skills, knowledge and experience

• Fee‑earning experience, including handling and/or assisting with clinical negligence claims
• Strong grasp of current case law, legal practice and procedure
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Motivated and enthusiastic
• Excellent client care and interpersonal skills
• Excellent administrative, organisational and time‑management skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast‑paced work environment
• IT literacy – Microsoft Office and case‑management software, e.g. Proclaim
• Ability to meet time and billing targets

Remuneration and Working Arrangements

This is a full‑time role based in our offices in Birkenhead; however, we are happy to consider hybrid/flexible/remote arrangements for the right candidate. Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5.30 pm. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
