Job Description

Solicitor – Industrial Disease

Location: Cardiff
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 35 hours, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
Start Date: ASAP

Withempathy, attention to detail and legal curiosity, you’ll help clients navigatelife-changing industrial disease claims. At Redkite Solicitors, we’re seeking amotivated and client-focused Solicitor to support ourIndustrial Disease team in delivering exceptional legal advice and representation.

As part ofour Personal Injury practice, you’ll support clients affected byworkplace-related illness and injury, helping them pursue claims with care,diligence and confidence. From managing your own caseload under supervision toassisting on complex matters involving asbestos exposure, respiratory illness,noise-induced hearing loss and other occupational disease claims, you’ll play akey role in delivering trusted advice and achieving the right outcomes forclients and their families

Candidates should be aware that their firstday of employment may be based at an alternative Redkite office within ournetwork, for group onboarding. A willingness to travel and spend the day awayfrom your usual place of work is therefore required.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Managea varied caseload of industrial disease matters with appropriate supervision todeliver timely, high-quality legal support.
• Adviseclients on liability, evidence and quantum issues to help them understand theiroptions and progress their claims with confidence.
• Draftcorrespondence, witness statements and legal documents to support effectivecase preparation and progression.
• Liaisewith clients, medical experts, counsel and third parties to keep matters movingand maintain excellent service throughout the claims process.
• Reviewmedical records, employment history and evidential documents to build strong,well-prepared cases.
• Collaboratewith colleagues across the Personal Injury team to share knowledge, supportcase strategy and achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Maintainaccurate records and ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures andregulatory requirements.
• Contributeto business development and profile-raising activity to support the continuedgrowth of the Industrial Disease offering.
