Specialist Cardiac Radiographer
Job summary
We are recruiting for a Specialist Cardiac Radiographer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The successful applicant will be responsible for recruitment of staff, be responsible for team members appraisal's and line management of Cardiac Radiographer team within the catheter lab on a day to day basis.
The post holder will take the lead role within the Cardiac Catheter Lab and its organisation, particularly Equipment, Radiation Protection, supplies and procurement.
They will be responsible for organisation of staff on a daily basis, annual leave and sick leave in line with trust policy.
The post is clinical as well as administrative and will demand substantial patient contact as well as supervisory and teaching skills.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the Radiography team within the Cardiac Cath Lab.
The post holder will help to ensure the service is safe, efficient and cost effective alongside other specialisation leads.
Expected to work in the Cardiac Catheter Lab, Radiology (plain X-Ray, Theatre, Mobiles and Vascular), and participate in the on call rota.
To work as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team within the departments.
To be expected to have specialist knowledge of cardiology, radiology and its working practices. This includes being responsible for the training and development of junior team members and work with and support colleagues of the management team with driving the service forward.

Essential
- Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent and evidence of registration with professional body .
- Appropriate post registration training to master's level or equivalent.
- Demonstrable expertise in the full range of skills within cardiac diagnostic radiology
