Specialist Doctor Geriatric Elderly Medicine

Permanent

Salary up to £72.000 per annum

Responsibilities

  • Provide cover through 4 community hospitals within adult rehab including stroke and neuro rehab throughout Kent region. These are short stay patients and although they are not requiring acute hospital services they may be admitted from home.
  • Work integral with physiotherapy, occupational therapy and the rehab facility, which includes a gym; patients will have access to a wide range of additional services such as speech and language therapy, podiatry, etc.
  • Work alongside two other doctors providing care to patients on all 4 hospital wards. The post is 40 hours per week and does not include any on-call or weekend work.
  • Provide day‑to‑day medical care and review all patients supported or directed by the clinical lead consultant.
  • Attend rounds and MDT team meetings where you will review and discharge accordingly.
  • Maintain an autonomous role integral to a team that aims to exceed expectations in the delivery of exceptional care.
