Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will support the service in delivering structured activities and assisting in the planning for individual and group therapeutic interventions. You will build one-to-one rapports with service users to encourage participation in activities and empower recovery. As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will contribute to the assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and modification of structured activities in order to measure progression and ensure effectiveness. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be supported regionally and will have access to a variety of training and online courses to support your career development and growth. The shift pattern is Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday 9:15am - 8:30pm for the first week and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:15am - 8:30pm for the second week with a 32 minutes break. The weekly hours is 37.5 As an Occupational Therapist Assistant you will be: Assisting Occupational Therapists, Nurses and other MDT staff in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans. Maintaining adequate records, entering details in the service user healthcare records. Experience in a similar environment & Mental Health Location : Emerald Place Clinic, Farmfield Drive, Charlwood, Horley, RH6 0BN Emerald Place Clinic is a general adolescent inpatient unit for the care and treatment of young people aged 13 up to the age of 18. Young people who are admitted to the unit will have a primary diagnosis of mental illness across a wide range of disorders and complex needs. These could include mental health conditions such as mood disorders and acute psychosis. Additionally young people may have co-existing additional needs such as neurodevelopmental disorders, including mild learning disabilities or autism. Emerald Place Clinic is located in a remote area with limited public transport links. Applicants will need to have access to reliable mode of transport to travel to and from the site.
