Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and compassionate physiotherapist to join our specialist Hands and Plastics Therapy Team at Leeds General Infirmary (LGI). This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly specialised service, managing a diverse and rewarding clinical caseload. You will work alongside experienced therapists and a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, treating patients with complex hand trauma, peripheral nerve injuries, upper limb spasticity and a wide range of elective hand conditions. As part of our established multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses and consultant plastic and orthopaedic surgeons to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

Job Summary

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
  • Experience in the assessment and management of hand injuries, with a genuine enthusiasm to further develop specialist hand therapy skills.
  • Excellent assessment, clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills.
  • The ability to demonstrate leadership qualities, including supporting and supervising students and junior staff.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • The ability to prioritise a varied caseload and perform effectively under pressure.
