Specialist Podiatrist

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Band 6 Specialist Podiatrist to join our recently integrated Community Podiatry and Diabetes Care For You (DCFY) Podiatry service supporting communities across Brighton & Hove and East Sussex. We also have partnered with University of Brighton and from July 2026 will be in our new state of the art podiatry suite on the Falmer Campus, where post holders will have the opportunity to work with all years of podiatry students on placement to help shape the future workforce.
The post will be primary based in Brighton, however there will be a requirement to travel to satellite clinics across Brighton & Hove and East Sussex. Therefore, a full driving license and access to a suitable vehicle is a key requirement for this role.
What We're Looking For
- HCPC-registered Podiatrist.
- Demonstrable post-registration experience in a range of clinical areas, including high-risk foot care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work flexibly across different clinical environments.
As a Specialist Podiatrist, You Will
- Deliver high-quality podiatric care to a diverse caseload, including patients with diabetes, chronic neuropathy, vascular conditions, and basic wound care needs.
- Work autonomously & collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team across a variety of settings, including community clinics, patients’ homes, residential homes, & hospital clinics.
- Undertake domiciliary visits for housebound patients (non-complex cases).
- Develop & implement individualised care plans under the guidance of Specialist Lead Podiatrists.
- Play an active role in the support, supervision, and development of undergraduate and post-graduate podiatry students.
- Participate in service development initiatives, clinical supervision, & reflective practice.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, ensure equipment and stock are managed in line with departmental protocols.
