Remit

Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with an innovative and expanding provider of specialist clinical and therapeutic services for children and young people, to recruit Speech & Language Therapists with paediatric and/or specialist education experience.


There are several roles available due to new contracts being secured with mainstream and SEN schools, so all levels of Speech and Language Therapists are encouraged to apply (minimum 2 years' experience working with children).


The organisation delivers a comprehensive pathway of support, including diagnostic assessments, therapy services, school-based SEND provision and reintegration programmes for children experiencing complex educational, emotional and neurodevelopmental needs.


Working alongside Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses and Education professionals, you will manage a specialist caseload of children and young people with complex presentations including neurodivergence, learning disabilities, SEMH and trauma-related needs.


Your role will involve completing specialist assessments, formulating evidence-based intervention plans and providing direct therapeutic intervention within schools, clinics and community settings. You will also deliver training to families, teachers and support staff.

Location

Candidates based in central London or on the outskirts of the city, are encouraged to apply, as schools are located across London, Croydon and Sussex.


Essential Criteria

  • HCPC registered Speech & Language Therapist
  • Degree in Speech & Language Therapy
  • At least 2 years’ experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions, SEMH, learning disabilities or complex needs
  • Strong multidisciplinary working experience
  • Excellent clinical reasoning, assessment and report writing skills
  • Experience providing consultation, advice or training to professionals and families
  • Ability to travel as required (within London and/or the South East)
