Stores Operative / Van Driver Driver Required | Goods In & Goods Out | Stores & Dispatch | Long-Term Role We're looking for a reliable Stores Operative / Van Driver to join a busy engineering company on £28,414 salary. This is a hands-on role involving stores, stock control, picking and packing, material handling and occasional deliveries using the company van. Duties: Goods in / goods out Picking, packing and dispatching orders Checking delivery notes and job tickets Stock control and inventory counts Loading and unloading materials Wrapping and labelling products for delivery General labouring duties, including painting frames when required Keeping the workshop clean and organised, Occasional delivery driving when required Following all Health & Safety procedures What We're Looking For in Stores Operative: ✅ Full UK Driving Licence (Essential) ✅ Able to get to site for a 6:30am start ✅ Good English and Maths skills ✅ Experience in stores, warehouse, dispatch or manufacturing environments ✅ Ability to work independently and accurately Desirable: ⭐ FLT License/ Experience ⭐ Overhead Crane Experience ⭐ Experience handling steel materials Ideal Background as Stores Operative: Stores Operative | Warehouse Operative | Dispatch Operative | Goods In/Goods Out | Labourer | Yard Operative | Van Driver Details for successful Stores Operative: Salary basic: £28,414 Hours: Mon-Thu: 06:30-16:00, Fri: 06:30-12:30 (42hours pcw) Status: Temporary to permanent, 18weeks (like a) probationary period Weekly Hours: 42 paid hours then T+1/2
