Strategic Supply Chain Officer Client: BAE Systems Location: Warton Contract Length: 6 months Hybrid: onsite – Full time 37 hours per week Rate: £26.07 PAYE or £34.99 Umbrella inside IR35 Overview I'm currently supporting BAE Systems with the appointment of a Strategic Supply Chain Officer to join the Future Combat Air Systems programme. Clearance requirement: Eligible for SC clearance Key Responsibilities Lead sourcing and procurement activity across a defined supplier portfolio Negotiate pricing and contractual terms Develop and influence supply chain strategies Manage supplier risk and drive supply chain resilience Support programme reviews and governance activities Work closely with Engineering, Project Management, Commercial, Finance and Legal teams Key Skills Procurement or supply chain experience within a complex environment Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills Experience managing supplier risk and opportunities Strong data analysis and reporting capability Continuous improvement mindset Previous strategic supplier management experience would be advantageous MCIPS, working towards MCIPS, or a relevant business degree would be beneficial If you would like to be considered for this role please don't hesitate to click apply or call Levi Jackson on 0161 391 2187 for more information.
