Sub Agent

Carmichael UK is working in partnership with a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering one of the UK's largest and most complex infrastructure projects at Hinkley Point C. We are currently seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join a high-performing delivery team responsible for the safe and successful execution of major civil engineering works. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on a nationally significant project that will shape the UK's future energy infrastructure. Responsibilities Support the Project Manager and Agent in the delivery of construction works. Manage site activities to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Produce and review RAMS, ITPs, and construction programmes. Monitor progress, report on performance, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and health & safety requirements. Manage temporary works, permits, and site documentation. Support commercial and contractual requirements, including change management and cost control. Drive a positive safety culture across the project. Requirements Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Previous experience working as a Sub Agent, Senior Section Engineer, or equivalent. Strong background delivering major infrastructure, nuclear, highways, rail, or heavy civil engineering projects. Experience managing engineering and delivery teams on large-scale construction projects. Sound knowledge of NEC contracts. SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications preferred.
