Superb Corporate (Private Equity) Associate
Senior Associate – Corporate / Private Equity | London
Candidates should take the time to read all the elements of this job advert carefully Please make your application promptly.
A leading international law firm is looking to strengthen its London Corporate practice with a Senior Associate specialising in private equity.
The team has a strong upper-mid-market private equity practice, advising major international financial sponsors and PE-backed businesses across acquisitions, LBOs, MBOs, public-to-privates, auction processes, growth investments, restructurings and recapitalisations.
This is a role for a senior lawyer who wants meaningful responsibility on transactions rather than a purely execution-focused position. You will work closely with experienced private equity partners, take the lead on selected matters and workstreams, manage junior lawyers and have direct involvement in transaction strategy, drafting, negotiation and project management.
The practice is continuing to grow its private equity offering, creating scope to contribute beyond matters through pitches, client development, thought leadership and market-facing initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have:
• 5+ years' PQE, ideally with a predominantly private equity-focused practice
• Strong experience leading PE transactions and familiarity with market-standard PE documentation
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills
• The confidence to take responsibility for matters with appropriate partner support
• Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers
• An interest in business development and building a market profile
The wider platform offers exposure to complex, cross-border corporate work within a genuinely international practice, with private equity work spanning multiple sectors and involving sophisticated financial sponsor clients. xwzovoh
