  • Manage and drive supplier quality performance across assigned suppliers and programmes.
  • Lead and support APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities to ensure robust quality planning and readiness.
  • Drive RCCA (Root Cause & Corrective Action) activities for supplier quality issues.
  • Lead and review 8D investigations, ensuring effective root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Support and participate in QSR (Quality Surveillance Review) activities and supplier performance reviews.
  • Conduct and support SARI activities, ensuring supplier compliance with required quality standards and processes.
  • Manage and monitor Transfer of Work (ToW) activities, ensuring quality requirements are maintained throughout the transfer.
  • Review and support PFMEA activities to identify and mitigate manufacturing and process risks.
  • Manage FAI (First Article Inspection) requirements and ensure readiness for production.
  • Manage and support the resolution of supplier concessions, ensuring appropriate technical and quality justification.
  • Identify emerging supplier risks and implement appropriate containment and mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor supplier performance, quality trends, recurring issues and improvement actions.
  • Work closely with suppliers to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide clear quality status updates, risks and recovery plans to programme and stakeholder teams.
  • Facilitate effective communication between suppliers and internal functions including Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Programme Management and Quality.
  • Maintain appropriate quality records, action trackers and performance data.
  • Support supplier escalation and recovery activities where required.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable aerospace quality standards, customer requirements and company procedures.


Key Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience within Supply Chain Quality, Supplier Quality or Quality Engineering within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong understanding of APQP, PFMEA, FAI and RCCA/8D methodologies.
  • Experience managing supplier quality issues and corrective action plans.
  • Experience working with supplier concessions and non-conformances.
  • Experience supporting or managing Transfer of Work (ToW) activities.
  • Experience with QSR and supplier performance management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a demanding programme environment.


Desirable:

  • Experience within an Airbus or similar major aerospace OEM environment.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality requirements.
  • Experience with SARI or equivalent supplier assessment/audit processes.
  • Experience working across complex aerospace manufacturing supply chains.
  • Formal quality or engineering qualification.
  • Experience in supplier recovery or intervention programmes.

Working Arrangement

This is a Filton-based position requiring 4 days per week on site, working closely with internal teams, suppliers and programme stakeholders.

  • The role offers the opportunity to play a key part in maintaining and improving quality across a complex aerospace supply chain, supporting supplier performance, new product introduction, transfers of work and ongoing production programmes.
