Morson is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading aerospace organisation to recruit a Strategic Supply Chain Officer for an initial 6 month contract. There is a pay rate of £26.07 Per Hour PAYE OR £34.99 Per Hour Umbrella on offer for the successful candidates. There would be a hybrid working arrangement on offer with 3-4 days a week spent on site in Warton and 1-2 days a week working from home. As a Strategic Supply Chain Officer, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of supply chain engagement requirements/ spend and will be actively managing and driving strategic sourcing activities for your area of responsibility. You will need to work cross functionally within an Integrated Project Team to understand requirements and develop appropriate supply chain solutions. You will be providing support to Life Cycle Management and associated Governance activities all whilst managing your various internal customers and supporting virtual and direct teams of professionals. Support all sourcing and strategic activity for the defined supply chain requirements including negotiating pricing and contracting terms and conditions as applicable • PM, Project Control, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, Legal • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the supply chain provision meets the governance requirements of the business and our customers and delivers optimum value for money. • Lead and support Programme Reviews with topical reporting data • Manage Supplier risk and drive supply chain resilience The role reports on a day-to-day basis to one of the Supply Chain Executives. A Continuous Improvement mind-set with proven examples of identifying new ideas that drive improvement, problem solving and working collaboratively with others to identify a solution ideally within a Procurement (or similar) environment • Detailed understanding and experience of supplier risk and opportunity management • Working understanding of tool sets and IT such as ERP systems, Microsoft Office programs particularly in Excel.
