At Hestia, we are guided by our core values and are dedicated to fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive organisation. Right now, we are looking for a Support Worker to play a pivotal role in our Mental Health Service in Hammersmith and Fulham.
As a Support Worker, you will empower service users to improve their health, wellbeing, and independence while supporting them to achieve their personal goals and aspirations. Working under the guidance of the Team Leader, you will manage a caseload, coordinate effective assessments and reviews, and help individuals engage confidently with community professionals and services. You will contribute to the smooth running of the service by supporting health and safety, property management, budgets, and voids, while ensuring accurate record-keeping and confidentiality. You will also develop co-produced activities, peer support opportunities, and community initiatives, promoting inclusion, independent living skills, and positive outcomes for service users.
We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please do mention this on your application.
You will need a good understanding of health and safety requirements within an accommodation-based setting, together with the ability to help maintain a safe, secure, and well-managed environment for service users. Experience of supporting individuals with mental health needs is essential, alongside an understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and the confidence to respond appropriately to concerns. A basic knowledge of housing management, including repairs and maintenance processes, is also important, enabling you to contribute effectively to the smooth operation of the service.
