We have an opportunity for experienced support workers for both day and waking night shifts to join our Residential Family Assessment Unit based in Reading

,

Berkshire. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed people who are reliable and able to offer emotional and practical support to our

families (Parents/Carers and children up to 4 years old).

is to provide a homely and family-like environment t

o those

being assessed

by Family Court

/Local Authority directive

. Job duties

and expectations

include: To safeguard and promote the welfare of all our families within the Residential Families Assessment Unit and in the community.

To contribute to the provision of a secure, stable, supportive environment for the families which respects and promotes their health, culture, religion, race,

identity

and lifestyle

To

maintain

and promote family residential support work to

high levels

of professionalism expected by Ofsted under regulation The Residential Families Centres Regulations 2002

Ability to keep clear and

accurate

records

ensuring that

good quality

report logs are

maintained

as

required

Good communicator and excellent interpersonal skills and good organisational

skills

Ability to be an active team player and to work on own initiative

Commitment to good practice and a

positive

team approach to work

Commitment to equal opportunity and challenging any discriminatory and oppressive practices

To ensure our unit is kept clean and in a tidy condition

Education: Preferable one of the below qualifications

: Any Social Work Qualification i.e. (Newley Qualified etc.)

Students studying Social Work (1

or Final Year)

NVQ (Children) Level 3 and above

Childrens Centre

School/Nursery

Local Authority
