About Errol House
Errol House is a warm, welcoming residential care home in the heart of Boston Spa , supporting five individuals – two young ladies and three gentlemen with a range of needs including autism, cerebral palsy and learning disabilities.
We pride ourselves on providing a homely, person-centred environment where individuals are supported to make choices, develop independence and enjoy the things they love.
No two days are the same at Errol House. Our individuals enjoy a wide range of activities both at home and in the community, including cinema nights, sensory activities, baking, arts and crafts, swimming, nature walks, seaside trips and community events.
Choice is really important to us. Individuals are offered activity choices and supported to be actively involved in decisions about their day. We also encourage strong community connections, helping the people we support build relationships and take part in local events and activities.
Complex Care
Our Support Workers may provide support with:
Dysphagia and IDDSI requirements
Following SALT (Speech and Language Therapy) guidance
PEG and enteral feeding
Tracheostomy and catheter care
Seizure management
Medication
Moving and handling
Personal care and daily living
Community and social activities
Individualised care plans and complex health needs
Previous complex-care experience is desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidates.
Shift Patterns
Our teams provide 24-hour support, with shifts including:
Early shifts ¦ Late shifts ¦ Sleep-ins ¦ Waking nights ¦ Weekend working

We recognise the importance of recruiting skilled, compassionate, and reliable staff, whilst demonstrating in practice our commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk.
