Support Worker - Young People's Services Stevenage | Full Time | Supported Housing Please note: Peabody is not a licensed UK sponsor and cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role. Help Young People Build Independent Futures Peabody is looking for a compassionate and motivated Support Worker to support young people aged 16-25 to develop the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to live independently. Working with young people who may have experienced homelessness, social exclusion, mental health challenges, or other barriers, you'll provide person-centred support that empowers them to achieve their goals and thrive within their communities. Key Responsibilities * Deliver person-centred support to young people living in supported housing. * Complete needs assessments, risk assessments, and support plans. * Support residents with daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, budgeting, shopping, and managing finances. * Help young people build confidence, independence, and resilience. * Support access to education, training, employment, and community services. * Assist residents to sustain accommodation and explore future housing options. * Work closely with external agencies and partner organisations. * Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding and support planning. * Participate in team meetings and training. About You * Experience supporting vulnerable people in the community or supported living environments, either professionally or through volunteering. * Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young people and external partners. * Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to helping others succeed. * Able to work independently, including lone working, and as part of a team. * Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems. * Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as travel between schemes is required.
