System Test Engineer Market Deeping | Circa £40,000 per annum | Permanent We are recruiting a System Test Engineer to join an established technology manufacturer based in Market Deeping.

The company designs and manufactures specialist electronic communication systems used in safety-critical environments worldwide.
You will be responsible for integrating, configuring and testing complex customer systems, ensuring that each system meets its technical and contractual requirements before Factory Acceptance Testing and delivery.
The role Your responsibilities will include: Integrating, configuring and testing customer communication systems.
Conducting Factory Acceptance Tests and responding to technical queries from customers.
Preparing and maintaining FAT documentation, test reports and technical records.
Configuring and testing system cabinets, databases and third-party equipment.
Working closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Planning and other departments to ensure systems are ready for testing and delivery.
Identifying, investigating and recording technical faults.
Coordinating with relevant teams to drive faults and technical issues through to resolution.
Monitoring system-readiness risks and communicating potential effects on project milestones.
Carrying out electrical and safety testing on equipment and system cabinets.
Supporting order fulfilment activities, including kit marshalling and inventory audits.
Ensuring technical documentation and customer handbooks are accurate and up to date.
Managing your workload effectively to meet customer deadlines and project milestones.
Supporting continuous improvements to testing processes and system quality.
What we are looking for : A-Levels in Maths and a Science subject, an HNC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification.
Experience testing electronic communication systems.
Knowledge or experience of VHF and UHF radio communication equipment, ideally involving ground-to-air systems.
Experience integrating, configuring or fault-finding complex electronic systems.
The ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and test documentation.
Good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.
A methodical approach to testing, fault diagnosis and technical record keeping.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The confidence to communicate directly with customers during Factory Acceptance Testing.
A proactive, customer-focused and flexible approach.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively across several departments.
Security and screening requirements Due to the nature of the products and customers involved, the successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard clearance.
Applicants must be able to provide a complete and checkable five-year history covering employment, education and any periods when they were not working or studying.
Any offer of employment will be subject to the successful completion of the required security and pre-employment checks.
