Tax Manager - EMEA * Location: Chester, North West England (Hybrid – 2–3 days per week in office) * Package: Up to £75,000 + 14% Bonus + £7,000 Car Allowance + LTIP + Excellent Benefits * Languages: Fluent in English. Additional European languages are a bonus, but not a requirement The Opportunity A global, high-growth organisation is expanding its footprint across Europe and looking to hire a Tax Manager to help shape how that growth is managed from a tax perspective. This is a genuinely broad, multi-disciplinary role sitting at the heart of the EMEA tax function, spanning European direct tax, US GAAP reporting, transfer pricing, Pillar Two and UK tax governance. If you're a European tax professional who wants more than a narrow compliance remit, someone who enjoys owning a portfolio of markets, working directly with the business, and having a real say in how the tax function evolves, this is built for you. The Role of the EMEA Tax Manager Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of European markets, working closely with local finance teams and external advisers to keep compliance sharp and processes running smoothly. Key Responsibilities: * Manage the full direct tax cycle for the EMEA markets including corporate income tax return preparation with local external advisers * Preparing and submitting US tax reporting (GAAP) including quarterly current and deferred tax provisions using TaxStream technology * Managing UK-specific requirements including Senior Accounting Officer (SAO), Tax Strategy publication and Corporate Criminal * Offence (CCO) Advising finance and business stakeholders on tax matters and building trusted relationships * Contributing to the COE's strategy around standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement * Monitoring developments across your markets, analysing their impact, and proactively communicating what matters to the people who need to know. Skills & Experience Required * Fluent in English. Additional European languages are a bonus, but not a requirement * Be a qualified accountant and/or chartered tax adviser (CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) * Solid grounding in tax accounting, tax provisioning and statutory audit support * Experience managing external advisers is ideal * Confidence reviewing and signing off compliance deliverables * The ability to translate complex tax issues into clear, practical guidance for non-tax stakeholders * A genuine interest in tax technology, process improvement and automation * Strong personal organisation, ownership and the ability to juggle multiple markets and deadlines with ease * Be organised, ownership-driven, and comfortable managing multiple markets and deadlines simultaneously Salary and Benefits Competitive salary up to £75,000.
