Tax Manager or Senior Manager

The Guinness Partnership are looking to hire a Group Tax Manager on a full-time, permanent contract, based in either our London or Oldham office. We currently offer hybrid working, blending office days with days working from home. We are looking for a Tax Manager with experience gained in either industry or practice, with technical knowledge of UK tax legislation, compliance requirements and the ability to stay up to date with regulatory changes. You will have experience of analysing, communicating and preparing tax returns, in some instances working with external advisors to coordinate and manage information requests. Returns will consist of VAT (including partial exemption), CIS and Corporation Tax, Excellent attention to detail, reconciliation skills and outstanding communication will be key for this role. Experience of tax either in industry or practice, with strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements and ability to keep track of changes. Understanding, analysing and communicating matters pertaining to Corporation Tax, CIS or VAT (specifically partial exemption) and the return processes. Experience in reconciliation. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office. Proven experience of leading on the preparation of financial statements for audit and the application of accounting standards. Knowledge of Oracle Financials. Relevant experience within the social housing sector. CCAB or CIMA qualification. Tax qualification. Please note, the advertised salary includes a £6,000 London Job Supplement that you will only receive if based at our Euston Road office.
