Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons * Inspire a passion for reading, writing, and analytical thinking * Differentiate teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs * Create a positive, inclusive classroom that promotes participation and progress * Assess, monitor, and support student attainment through accurate feedback * Contribute to whole‑school initiatives within the MAT ✅ The Ideal Candidate * Holds QTS or UK‑equivalent teaching qualification * Degree in English or a related subject * Proven experience teaching English in UK secondary schools * Strong classroom management and communication skills * Passionate about education and committed to student success 📄 Contract Details * Location: Weymouth, South Dorset * Position: Teacher of English * Type of Work: Long‑term supply (Temp to Perm opportunity) * Start Date: ASAP * Duration: Academic year (with potential permanence) * Hours: 8:20am - 4:00pm (may vary) * Pay: MPS / UPS equivalent * Working Pattern: Full‑time 🧾 Experience, Training & Compliance To be eligible through Prospero Teaching, you must: * Hold QTS or equivalent * Have at least 3 years' experience working with children or young people in the UK * Hold Right to Work in the UK * Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply) * Provide two professional child‑related references covering the last two years * Have up‑to‑date safeguarding training (or be willing to complete) 📩 Interested?
