Full-Time Teaching Assistant - Chesterfield Primary School Location: Chesterfield Start Date: Monday 7th September 2026 Contract: Long-term, full-time Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new long-term opportunity in Chesterfield? We are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Junior School in Chesterfield from 7th September 2026, ideally for the full academic year. You will work across Key Stage 2 classes, supporting pupils with their learning and helping to create a positive, engaging classroom environment. You will also provide targeted support for children with additional needs, including working with pupils in the school's breakout area. The ideal candidate We are looking for someone who: Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting Has a good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum Is confident supporting behaviour for learning Can build positive relationships with pupils and encourage their confidence and independence Has experience supporting children with additional needs Is patient, proactive and adaptable Works well as part of a wider school team Can commit to a full-time, long-term position The role You will be supporting pupils across KS2, working closely with class teachers to help children make progress with their learning.
