SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Kingston upon Thames, South West London Job Type: Daily Supply / Flexible Horizon Teachers are looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a daily supply basis within a welcoming primary school in Kingston. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with children who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential. The role will involve: Providing 1:1 and small-group support to primary-aged pupils with SEN Supporting children with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs and SEMH Helping pupils access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities Supporting children with their emotional wellbeing, confidence and behaviour Working closely with the class teacher and SEN team Supporting pupils during lessons, break times and lunchtime Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environmentThe ideal candidate will have: Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school, nursery or SEN setting A patient, caring and nurturing approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills The ability to build positive relationships with children quickly Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs A flexible and adaptable approach to daily supply workWhy Horizon Teachers: We are currently having our busiest year & placing more teachers & support staff than ever before.
