Teaching Assistant

Monarch Education are working with a specialist SEND school in Nuneaton who are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school supports children from Early Years through to Year 6, all of whom have an EHCP. Staff focus on delivering a broad, balanced and personalised curriculum that meets the individual needs of every pupil in a supportive and nurturing environment. About the pupils Students at the school have a range of additional needs, including: Moderate to profound learning difficulties Autism (ASC) Epilepsy Physical disabilities Sensory impairments Medical needs Communication difficultiesThe Role: Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups Helping deliver individual learning plans and EHCP targets Supporting pupils with communication and engagement Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional development Assisting with daily routines and sensory needs Supporting personal care where required Working closely with teachers and other support staff Essential: Experience working with SEND or complex needs A calm, patient and reliable approach Good communication skills Able to support younger pupils (EYFS - KS2) Comfortable supporting personal care if needed Available full-time on a long-term basis Benefits of Working with Monarch Education: leading provider, Crown Commercial Service Approved opportunity to enhance your CPD portfolio through our Affinity Academy free Sa...
