Are you an experienced Children's Residential Team Leader looking for your next challenge?

We're recruiting for a temporary Team Leader to join a warm, therapeutic children's home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). This is an excellent opportunity to work within a trauma-informed service where you'll have the chance to make a genuine difference to the lives of vulnerable young people.

About the Home

This service is a welcoming residential home caring for up to four children and young people. The home currently supports three young people, aged 1516 years (two females and one male), providing a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where they can build confidence, develop life skills, and work towards positive futures.

The Role

As Team Leader, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the home while leading by example and maintaining high standards of care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading shifts and supporting the staff team to deliver outstanding care.

Providing therapeutic, trauma-informed support to children and young people with EBD.

Building positive, trusting relationships with young people.

Supporting behaviour management using positive and restorative approaches.

Completing care planning, incident reports, and other administrative duties.

Ensuring safeguarding and Ofsted standards are consistently met.

Supporting, mentoring, and supervising Residential Support Workers.

Working collaboratively with families, social workers, schools, and other professionals.

Promoting independence, resilience, and positive outcomes for young people.

The role includes approximately 80% shift work and 20% dedicated administration time, with a rota that includes evenings and weekends.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience as a Team Leader or Senior Residential Support Worker within a children's residential home.

A strong understanding of therapeutic and trauma-informed care.

Experience supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) as a minimum.

Team Teach training (preferred).

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

A calm, resilient, and positive approach to supporting young people with complex needs.
