Team Leader

Team Leader £17.47 per hour  37 hours per week Monday to Thursday 06:00am to 2:30pm | Friday 06:00am to 11:30am Temporary Contract up to 12 Weeks We're looking for an experienced Team Leader to join a busy transport and operational support team. This is a hands-on supervisory role where you'll lead drivers and crew members, coordinate daily activities, and ensure services run smoothly from the start of each shift through to the end-of-day debrief. Key Responsibilities Lead and support a team of drivers and operational crew members Issue vehicle keys and allocate work each morning from 6:00am Communicate daily instructions and operational updates Ensure drivers and crews have the information required to complete their routes Carry out driver debriefs at the end of each shift Monitor attendance and daily staffing requirements Resolve operational issues as they arise Complete a range of office and administrative duties Maintain accurate records and support the wider management team What We're Looking For Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or similar role Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment Confidence managing and motivating operational teams Good IT and administrative skills Experience within transport, logistics, waste services or a similar operational setting would be beneficial This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys managing people, solving problems and keeping operations running smoothly in a busy transport environment.
