Are you an experienced leader ready to make a difference? Our team in Preston is looking for a Team Leader for their Young Persons services. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who knows what it takes to lead a team, manage competing priorities and create an environment where people can do their best work.
You don't need to have worked in substance misuse or young people's services to be successful in this role. Were most interested in the leadership skills, experience and values you can bring. Your management experience could have been gained across health, social care, mental health, criminal justice, housing, community services or another comparable environment. What matters most is that you have a proven track record of leading people, managing services, developing others and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Main duties of the job
Our Team Leaders play a vital role in our services, including:
- Supporting the management team in the delivery of the contracted service, leading on an area of specialism
- Positively promoting the service and WithYou to external stakeholders
- Managing the staff within the service to ensure that they are well informed, inspired and engaged with WithYous strategic objectives
This position is offered on a full time basis, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. We offer a starting salary of £30,900, rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, to £37,080 per year. Experience
Essential
- We want to hear from people who can inspire and bring out the best in others - your leadership experience doesn't have to have come from substance misuse or young people's services. We'd be excited to see the following in your application:
- ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent
- A proven track record of managing and leading drug and alcohol services or mental health services (or comparable services)
- Sound understanding of safeguarding practices and demonstrable experience in applying and managing these
- Resilience and the ability to prioritise when working under pressure
- Demonstrable experience of working in partnership with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies
- A successful track record of management responsibility and development of others
- The ability to work effectively as a team player in a collaborative and supportive manner
- Experience of developing relationships and engaging with key stakeholders, both internal and external
- A full UK driving licence and use of your own car
