Team Manager – Children & Families | Devon Devon County Council | South & West Devon We are currently seeking an experienced Team Manager – Children & Families to join Devon County Council on a full-time locum basis, with an ASAP start. Role details: * Position: Team Manager – Children & Families * Location: South & West Devon * Base: Follaton House, Totnes, South Devon * Hours: 37 hours per week * Pay: Up to £47.50 per hour, depending on experience * Working pattern: Hybrid * Accommodation/commuter allowance: £150 per week, subject to eligibility * Contract: Full-time locum * Start: ASAP About the role Devon County Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to support children and young people across South & West Devon. Team Managers play a vital role in delivering high-quality social care services. The council is embedding a new restorative practice approach across its teams, alongside significant investment in training practitioners and managers to build, maintain and repair relationships with children and families. About you You will need to be an experienced Team Manager with a strong background in safeguarding and court work. You should have excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to lead, support and develop a social work team effectively. Applicants must be able to commit to working on site at Follaton House, Totnes, during duty weeks, and as required during non-duty weeks, for example for training. Accommodation/commuter allowance: £150 per week is available for candidates who meet the agreed eligibility criteria. Please note that this allowance is subject to review at the end of September 2026.
