I am looking for a talented Technical Illustrator to join a team based in Radstock on a permanent basis. This role will be working closely with Design, Engineering, Manufacturing and Product Development teams, you will transform technical information into user-friendly manuals, installation guides and visual documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences. Job Title: Technical Illustrator Location: Radstock Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm Contract: Permanent Salary: £30,000.00 - £40,000.00 (DOE) This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to start their career or experienced candidates from a relevant industry. The ideal applicant will have strong technical illustration and creative skills, with the ability to modernise and enhance existing technical documentation, product data and visual building illustrations. Responsibilities: * Create technical illustrations, assembly drawings, installation guides and product manuals. * Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, BOMs and technical specifications. * Produce clear documentation for partitioning, glazing, doors, frames and related products. * Transform complex technical information into clear visual content for a range of audiences. * Collaborate with Design, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to maintain accurate documentation. * Manage document standards, branding, revision control and technical accuracy. * Update documentation following product, engineering and process changes. * Support continuous improvement of product understanding, installation efficiency and customer experience. To be considered: * Experience in technical illustration, documentation, graphic design or CAD within a manufacturing, construction or technical environment. * Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models and technical specifications. * Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor or Revit. * Understanding of manufacturing, assembly and installation processes. * Strong written communication skills with the ability to simplify technical information. * Excellent organisation, attention to detail and project management skills. * Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage document revisions effectively.
