Technician Inspector Specialist Inspections

Duration: Permanent
Location: Parc Menai, Bangor

To undertake specialist inspections including Detailed VRS, Drainage and Geotechnical Inspections on the trunk road network in accordance with the Welsh Government Trunk Road Maintenance Manual (WG-TRMM) and Welsh Government Integrated Roads Information System (IRIS) requirements. These posts will provide opportunity for further education to ONC, HNC and potentially degree level in civil engineering on a day release basis.

Qualifications and Relevant Training

• 5 GCSE’s (Grade C or above) or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience in Highway Inspection and or maintenance

Skills and Specialist Knowledge

• Ability to work under own initiative and as a part of a team.
• Well developed communication skills, both oral and writing.
• Good organisational skills.
• Creativity and problem solving skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
• IT skills use of Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word and Excel
• Current Driving Licence
• The ability to speak English is essential and Welsh desirable for this role.
