Tekla Draughtsman – Structural Steel

As we continue to expand, we're looking for an experienced Tekla Detailer / Draughtsman to join our dynamic and supportive Design Team. The Role As a Tekla Detailer / Draughtsman at Steelo, you'll play a key role in detailing structural steelwork projects, producing accurate 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures. Working closely with clients, engineers, architects and suppliers, you'll help ensure projects progress efficiently from design through to fabrication. This is a detail-focused role — structural calculations are not required. Key Responsibilities * Produce detailed 3D steel models using Tekla Structures * Prepare accurate fabrication drawings in accordance with company standards * Coordinate with customers, structural engineers and architects * Liaise with suppliers and order materials where required * Work closely with production and other departments to ensure successful project delivery * Manage multiple projects and deadlines * Respond to client queries professionally and efficiently Requirements * Previous experience using Tekla Structures (essential) * Background in Structural or Civil Engineering (desirable) * Good understanding of structural steelwork and fabrication drawings * Strong organisational and problem-solving skills * Ability to prioritise workload and work independently * Excellent written and verbal communication skills What We Offer * Competitive salary £34,000–£40,000 DOE * Monthly performance bonus * 32 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays and Christmas shutdown) * Ongoing training and professional development * Friendly, supportive and collaborative team * Long-term career progression opportunities Join one of London's leading structural steel fabricators and become part of a team delivering high-quality projects across the capital while continuing to develop your career
