Temporary Site Engineer (Housing)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Site Engineer to join one of Fawkes & Reece's clients, a leading house building construction company, on a long-term residential project near Bridgwater. This Site Engineer role offers a strong day rate, weekly pay, and the chance to work on a large-scale new housing development. About the role of Site Engineer As a Site Engineer, you will be supporting the delivery of groundworks on a new housing project, taking responsibility for setting out, quality assurance, and coordination of subcontractors on site. This is a long-term temporary role, expected to run for approximately 12-18 months, with an immediate start available. Responsibilities for Site Engineer * Carrying out accurate setting out using GPS, Total Station, and levelling equipment * Supervising subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered to programme * Interpreting and working from technical drawings and specifications * Maintaining quality control and keeping accurate site records Requirements for Site Engineer * 3+ years experience working as a Site Engineer on groundworks and residential projects * Strong setting out experience with relevant surveying equipment * CSCS card and relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) * Good understanding of health & safety and site procedures Our client is a well-established house builder with a strong pipeline of residential projects, known for delivering high-quality homes across the region.
