Overview: Working with our client, a successful injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for Toolmakers to join their established team. Flexible holiday buy/sell scheme Recognition and reward scheme Employee Assistance Programme Cycle to Work & Tech Scheme Enhanced Maternity & Partner leave As a Toolmaker you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and improvement of mould and press tooling to a production standard. The successful candidate will have experience in repairing and maintaining mould & press tools and display a strong mechanical aptitude and the desire to learn and develop upon their skills where necessary To manufacture all work as specified by the Tool Order Request using current issue design drawings. Evaluate repair jobs to determine the work involved to get tooling into spec and back to production. Responsible for inspecting and testing your work to ensure all tooling lies within specification, meets quality standards and functional requirements. Operate all machines and processes in accordance with accepted and documented procedures such as: Manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, jig grinders and EDM sinkers. Responsible for basic machine maintenance and good housekeeping. Report to your line manager immediately on finding any machine or equipment malfunction. Engineering qualification / time served apprenticeship Experience and knowledge of hot runner, unscrewing mould and progression strip tooling. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot, diagniose and resolve issues across multiple jobs Experience with standard toolroom equipment, milling, turning, grinding, Laser welding. Ability to read an interpret engineering drawings Computer literate with good Microsoft Office skills Toolmaker, Tooling Engineer, Tooling Technician, Tool maker, Mould Tooling, Tooling Maintenance, Tooling Engineer, Tool Design, injection moulding, Press tooling, Mould Tools Technical Engineering & Manufacturing Recruitment Specialist Plastics, Packaging & Precision Engineering A current copy of a passport, driving license, ID card or NI card will be required as part of the registration process.
