Are you an experienced construction recruiter looking to move away from sales targets and commission-driven recruitment?

We’re recruiting for a Trades & Labour Recruiter to join a highly respected national plant hire and haulage organisation. You’ll focus on sourcing, onboarding and coordinating skilled operatives for major projects across the UK.

This is a busy, people-focused role where you’ll build strong talent pipelines, support workforce planning and ensure the right operatives are available when projects need them.

Key responsibilities

  • Source and engage skilled trades, labour and plant operatives
  • Grow and maintain an active candidate database
  • Manage candidate screening, compliance, inductions and onboarding
  • Coordinate the timely placement of operatives across UK projects
  • Handle high-volume calls and communication with candidates and site teams
  • Maintain accurate candidate and workforce information across internal systems
  • Build strong relationships with operational teams and external stakeholders
  • Work towards agreed resourcing and candidate pipeline KPIs

What we’re looking for

  • Previous recruitment experience within the construction industry is essential
  • Experience recruiting trades, labour, plant or site-based operatives would be advantageous
  • Strong candidate-sourcing and relationship-building skills
  • Confident working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and confidence using databases and Excel
  • A proactive approach with the ability to make sound decisions

What’s on offer

  • £35,000 salary with no commission-based targets
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Ongoing learning and development
  • £250 annual personal development voucher
  • 50% subsidised gym membership
  • One paid volunteer day each year
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
  • Wellbeing and mental health support
  • Regular team events and socials
  • Supportive and inclusive working environment

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction recruitment professional who enjoys candidate delivery, workforce planning and relationship management without the pressure of business development or commission targets. xwzovoh
