Trading Standards Officer

Vivid Resourcing are working with a local authority in the West Midlands with the recruitment of an experienced Trading Standards Officer for an initial 6-month contract. We are seeking qualified Trading Standards professionals with current competency and practical experience in one or more of the following specialist areas: * Product Safety * Legal Metrology (Weights & Measures) * Feed Hygiene This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and well-established Trading Standards team, supporting regulatory activities. The Role You will undertake a varied caseload, carrying out inspections, investigations and advisory work to ensure businesses comply with relevant legislation and standards. Key responsibilities include: * Conducting inspections of businesses and premises * Investigating complaints and potential breaches of Trading Standards legislation. * Providing advice and guidance to local businesses. * Preparing reports, records and enforcement documentation where required. * Supporting regulatory and compliance activities within your area of expertise.
