Transport Planner - Larkhall

Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK’s largest privately owned transport company. We are looking to recruit a Transport Planner, to be based at our Larkhall site.

This is an exciting opportunity for a career in the logistics industry within a well-established distribution company.

The main functions of the role are:

• Planning collections and deliveries
• Scheduling the fleet ensuring drivers are allocated to vehicles and loads
• Ensuring drivers are on track with their deliveries and collections
• Dealing with any problems drivers may have while out on the road, liaising with the end customer
• Administration support with tasks such as order entry, data input and cost control

Requirements:

• Educated to minimum Higher Grade standard
• Good organisational skills

The hours for this position are Monday to Friday 8am-5pm but this can be discussed further during the interview.
