Transport Planner to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused professional with experience in logistics, transport, or warehousing to play a key role in ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and allocate deliveries in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Schedule and assign work to drivers, confirming delivery and booking dates.
- Ensure customer delivery requirements are met and service levels maintained.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
- Produce delivery schedules, reports, and operational documentation.
- Liaise with Customer Services and Sales teams to manage delivery expectations and resolve issues proactively.
- Manage workload effectively while handling customer enquiries across multiple communication channels.
- Maintain accurate records and provide information as required.
- Meet performance targets, deadlines, and service standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer service.
- Uphold company values and deliver excellent customer care at all times.
Criteria
- Previous experience as a Transport Planner or within a similar logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of transport-related IT systems.
- Good geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland, Great Britain, and the Republic of Ireland.
- Excellent planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify and drive operational improvements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all business levels.
- Able to perform well under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Monday to Friday, 11:00am to 8:00pm.
