Stobart have an exciting opportunity within their retail sector for a Transport Team Manager to oversee the night operation at Bridgwater for a major customer. You will direct, coordinate and + plan activities for the operation whilst complying with legal responsibilities and meeting customer demand at all times. this is the perfect opening for someone looking for a step into management. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow with Stobart within a thriving sector, providing exposure to a large operation within the Stobart network To support the management of a fleet of drivers and transportstaff ensuring that they work within both legal and company compliance guidelines. To provide a store network with a first class service To ensure operational targets are met on a weekly and monthly basis through effective use of the customers Integrated Transport Management Systems To brief / de brief drivers at the start and end of every shift communicating planned requirements providing information on performance, company news and procedures. Proactively motivate the transport team by providing guidance and encouragement Experience of working within a transport/FMCG environment. Knowledge of transport legislation. Knowledge of driver management softwares Experience of supervising / managing a team, encouragingmotivation and driving performance.
