Job summary

The Care Homes Assessment Team (CHAT) is an award-winning service that support the lives and deaths of residents in Care Homes across Enfield and part of Haringey. CHAT is part of Urgent and Integrated Adult Services which is hosted by RFL. We are looking for a full time physical health Band 4 senior HCA or Senior Administration Assistant wanting to take on some supervised clinical work to join our service. Experience of Excel, Word, Rio an advantage and good IT skills is essential.

Main duties of the job

The role is 50% clinical and 50% senior admin responsibilities. 4 days a week will be at our Acute Trust North Middlesex University Trust Hospital supporting the clinical work of the band 7 Trusted Assessor with facilitating assessment of patients for placement in the care homes. The other day is in the office (remote working possible if needed) supporting with data collection and coordination of our MDT with the GP/Geriatrician.

Education and professional qualifications

Essential

  • Able to produce evidence of a good basic education including numeracy and literacy skills
  • NVQ3 in secretarial or office administration or skills gained by equivalent experience or show a willingness to work towards this qualification or RSA3 or skills gained by equivalent experience

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of clinic and/or reception work
  • Experience of working with the public in a busy public service
  • Experience of working in NHS
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to different cultures and beliefs held by clients and colleagues
  • Understanding of NHS ethos, processes and systems
  • Insight into the behaviour and needs of patients who may be distressed or in pain
  • Experience of Rio
