Overview

We are currently looking for Skilled/Semi Skilled Vehicle Technicians to assist in the following areas of vehicle research and development

  • Electrical Testing (including Connected Car)
  • Dyno & Emission Testing
  • General vehicle-based servicing, test preparation and safety checks (Control Room activities)

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of vehicles or parts for special uses including Test use.
  • Evaluation of vehicle performance according to set criteria.
  • Assemble / dis-assemble parts, components, or vehicles for static & dynamic test activities.
  • Maintenance of Vehicles to include safety check, retrofit, fault finding and repair. 
  • Liaise with engineers to conduct tests to client standards & local operating procedures.
  • Instrumentation set-up.
  • Write reports.
  • Assist with facility management inclusive of maintenance, facility calibration, risk assessment and training.
  • Learn bespoke client systems required to fulfil role.

Qualifications

  • Vehicle Technician, IMI Level 3 for skilled roles
  • Vehicle Technician, IMI Level 2 for semi skilled roles

Desired skills

  • Previous experience of working in a vehicle build/prototype environment would be desirable.
