We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester
to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, practical diagnostic skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
Carry out vehicle servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to a consistently high standard. Complete work on brakes, steering and suspension components, tyres, clutches, cambelts, and turbochargers. Diagnose mechanical faults accurately and recommend appropriate repairs. Communicate effectively with the Service team regarding progress, findings, and required work. Occasionally speak directly with customers to provide clear, professional technical advice. Use power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain high customer-service standards that encourage loyalty and referrals. Follow all relevant health, safety, and workshop procedures. Essential Requirements
Previous experience in a similar Vehicle Technician or mechanic position. Strong mechanical knowledge and effective fault-diagnosis skills. Experience carrying out routine servicing and repairs to brakes, steering, suspension, and tyres. Ability to use workshop tools and equipment safely. High standards of workmanship and attention to detail. Good communication and customer-service skills. A current full UK driving licence. Preferred Experience
Experience replacing
clutches, cambelts, and turbochargers . A current
MOT testing licence . Previous tyre-fitting experience. Applicants without an MOT testing licence may still be considered, as training can be provided to help the successful candidate work towards the qualification. Additional in-house training will be available where necessary. Employment Details
